First introduced for the 1972 Olympic games in Munich the "Super Light" or SL72 was released for athletes looking for a lightweight feel with additional grips on the soles. The shoes was made with experimental materials such as a combination of nylon and leather, but were soon to be worn by celebrities as a casual everyday sports trainers.
